What is NHN Polyimide Composite Film?

NHN polyimide composite film is a three-layer laminate where two layers of non-woven insulation paper are laminated on either side of a central kapton-type HN polyimide film layer. The designation “NHN” describes the structure: Non-woven / HN Polyimide / Non-woven. This combination gives significantly higher breakdown voltage (8–10 kV) than plain polyimide film alone, while the non-woven outer layers provide mechanical rigidity for slot insertion and winding processes.
