What is ESD Polyimide Film?
ESD polyimide film is a functional kapton-type polyimide film with a specially treated surface that provides controlled electrostatic discharge dissipation. The surface resistance of 10⁵–10⁹ Ω places it firmly in the static dissipative range — fast enough to safely bleed static charges but not so conductive as to risk short circuits in sensitive components.
Unlike adhesive ESD tapes, ESD polyimide film leaves no adhesive residue after removal from PCBs — critical for maintaining clean board surfaces in electronics production.
