What is Thermal Conductive Polyimide Film?

Thermal conductive polyimide film (MT Series) is a speciality modification of kapton-type polyimide film where thermally conductive fillers are incorporated into the PMDA-ODA polymer to enhance thermal conductivity without compromising electrical insulation. Standard polyimide film has thermal conductivity of 0.12–0.15 W/m·K; MT Series achieves >0.36 W/m·K — enabling significantly better heat dissipation from electronics components while the film continues to provide full electrical isolation.

This combination is critical in modern power electronics, where components must dissipate heat rapidly but also remain electrically isolated from heat sinks, chassis and adjacent components.
