Unlike standard amber kapton polyimide film, colourful polyimide film is manufactured with colour incorporated directly into the PMDA-ODA polymer — providing permanent, heat-stable colour that does not fade or transfer even at temperatures up to 400°C.

What is Colourful Polyimide Film?
Colourful polyimide film is a speciality variant of kapton-type polyimide film where pigments are compounded directly into the PMDA-ODA polymer matrix during the film casting process — not surface-dyed or coated. The colour is part of the film itself and therefore inherits all the thermal and chemical properties of the polyimide polymer, including stability to 400°C and UL 94 V-0 flame retardancy.
Three colours are available as standard: Red, Green and Transparent. Transparent polyimide film is optically clear unlike standard amber kapton film, making it suitable for optical and display applications where visibility through the film is required. All three variants share the same thickness range of 25–50 μm and standard width of 520 mm.
